A top employer in the biotechnology and laboratory services industry is looking for a Biomedical Equipment Technician I to join their team. This individual will support the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, inspection, and preventive maintenance of biomedical and laboratory equipment in a regulated laboratory environment. The Biomedical Equipment Technician I will work closely with laboratory personnel and senior technicians to ensure equipment operates safely, reliably, and in compliance with quality and regulatory standards. This is an entry-level opportunity offering hands-on training, vendor-led education, and career growth within biomedical equipment technology.

Some responsibilities of the Biomedical Equipment Technician I will include but are not limited to:

• Performing preventive maintenance, repairs, safety testing, and equipment inspections
• Assisting with troubleshooting and resolving equipment issues in a timely manner
• Supporting laboratory operations through equipment maintenance and calibration activities
• Documenting maintenance activities, reports, and records accurately
• Maintaining compliance with SOPs, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
• Participating in vendor training and continuing education opportunities
• Performing computer data entry and maintaining equipment records
• Collaborating with laboratory staff and senior biomedical technicians to support daily operations

Skills and Requirements

• Associate degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Electronics Technology, Engineering Technology, or related field
• Valid U.S. Driver's License
• Minimum 1 year of Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) experience
• Experience with parts inventory management
• Experience supporting equipment in a regulated pharmaceutical, biologics, medical device, diagnostics, or medical technology environment
• Knowledge of equipment troubleshooting and preventive maintenance
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
• BMET Certification
• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Healthcare Technology Management, Engineering Technology, or related field
• Experience with environmental monitoring or control equipment
• Laboratory testing instrumentation experience
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
• Calibration equipment experience
• Familiarity with FDA, ISO, cGMP, OSHA, and related regulatory environments
